With the opening scene starting off with meeting Olivia's mother (played by Khandi Alexander) and her father (played by Joe Morton). It's hard to forget who is calling the shots behind the scenes.
Ava DuVernay most known for her work in Middle of Nowhere, directed tonight's episode of ABC's hit show Scandal.
Tonight's episode tittled, "Vermont is For Lovers Too" follows Pope's gladiators as they "try to handle both uncovering the truth behind Operation Remington, while also managing a potential crisis with the Josie Marcus campaign."
Earlier this week (Tuesday to be exact) Ava DuVernay posted a picture of her alongside the Scandal star while on set. She shared her excitement over Facebook, "I could say what's going on here... but I'd get thrown in the B613 hole. So, just watch this Thursday! The next episode of SCANDAL is entitled "Vermont is For Lovers Too" and is directed by yours truly. Hope anyone who tunes in enjoys! xoxo"
While everything is going well for DuVernay, her career from here will sky-rocket not that she had any problem with that in the first place. DuVernay was the first African-American woman to win the best director prize at the Sundance Film Festival for her film, Middle of Nowhere.
I'm excited to see what happens to DuVernay's career from here on out. I will continue to support and write about her accomplishments.
"Vermont is For Lovers Too" episode premiered tonight at 9pm CST.
